This July, Cresta Shopping Centre has loads of news and activities to keep you, and the family busy, especially with the School Holidays upon us. As one of the largest and most loved shopping centres in the country, Cresta is committed to constantly bringing its shoppers, and extended family, new experiences, stores and activities.
What to do with the kids these Holidays?
Stumped for ideas of things to do with the kids these school holidays, especially activities that are educational and fun? At Cresta, they know how you feel and have partnered with the fantastic team at Young Engineers to bring shoppers a great activity for the kids. The enthusiastic team from Young Engineers provide an engaging, hands-on learning platform. Educational goals are achieved by using LEGO® and K’nex® assembly kits uniquely designed by their trained staff to demonstrate scientific principles in a fun and accessible fashion; combining experiments that form scientific intuition with stories that capture the imagination.
The Young Engineers team will be set up at the Cresta Shopping Centre Kids Holiday Zone, outside The Barnyard Theatre on the Lower Level, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the School Holidays kicking off this Friday 29th June 2018.
Below are the dates and times for you to diarise:
Friday – Sunday: 29th June – 1st July
Friday – Sunday: 6th July – 8th July
Friday – Sunday: 13th July – 15th July
How to get involved?
1. Bring the younger kids over for some play time with blocks and colouring-in fun at the activity zone (Free, no booking required)
2. Book a 60min workshop for the kids for any time that suits you (R150 per child over 7 years of age. Bookings at the Young Engineers Zone) – 7 years or older only
3. Book for one of the three FREE sessions per day (seats limited & workshop worth R150) – for children 7 years or older only. Book at the Young Engineers Kids Zone or ahead of time and book online.
The free daily workshops, brought to you by Cresta (worth R150) are at the following times:

Imagine a free movie every week for a year! Cresta has partnered with Disney Pixar to spoil one lucky Cresta shopper to 52 sets of double movie tickets. To enter simply purchase any Disney Pixar product at any Cresta retailer before 31 July 2018 or watch the Incredibles 2 movie at Cresta’s Ster-Kinekor. Simply put your till slip or movie ticket into the entry boxes found inside the Centre and make sure to write your name, ID number and contact details on the back. Second and third prizes include Disney hampers to the value of R2000 (2nd prize) and R1000 (3rd prize)

Other things you should know…
Taking things to the next level, Cresta has been working on the revamping of their Escalators and Lifts in the Centre and are almost complete, with only one more location remaining, so shoppers can enjoy an even heightened level of world-class retail shopping. Virginia Bester, Cresta General Manager shared Cresta’s gratitude to shoppers for their patience, “Cresta Management Team are very grateful to our loyal shoppers for their patience, as we work to improve and upgrade the Centre to ensure we offer our shoppers only the best in a retail environment and a modern and safe place to call home,” said Bester.
Committed to making Cresta Shopping Centre as safe an environment as possible, the local SAPS teams can be spotted walking around the Centre every day to increase visibility and provide more safety for shoppers.
